On April 13, 2026, Ada Sunrise Rotary joined ECU Rotaract and the ECU Glass Recycling program for an evening with a local Ada Girl Scout troop, teaching the next generation about recycling, and letting them take home something they made themselves.
On the evening of April 13, 2026, Ada Sunrise Rotary teamed up with the ECU Rotaract Club and East Central University's Glass Recycling program to spend time with a local Ada Girl Scout troop for a hands-on lesson in sustainability.
The groups shared the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling, and gave the girls a close-up look at how glass gets a second life right here in Ada. The highlight of the evening was a creative activity where each scout painted her own paver made from crushed recycled glass, turning an environmental lesson into something they could take home.
It was a great reminder that service and stewardship start early, and that the future is in good hands.
