Ada Sunrise Rotary is a community of professionals and neighbors who show up for Ada, every week, every year. Your donation goes directly toward the work we do right here in Pontotoc County and beyond.
We support local students. Every July 4th, we host the Fireball Classic Memorial Race at Wintersmith Park. Proceeds power Back to School Basics, which puts school supplies in the hands of more than 1,000 local students each fall. We also deliver dictionaries to every third grader in the area, sponsor high school students for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) camp, and support the Rotaract Club at East Central University.
We serve our neighbors. We show up for Ada when it matters, tornado and disaster relief, paper and supply donations to local classrooms, free dog vaccination clinics for pets of the homeless, and Little Free Libraries in neighborhood parks. Most recently, we planted native pollinator gardens at the Wintersmith Park Arboretum to support local ecosystems.
We connect Ada to the world. Through Rotary International, we contribute to global efforts to eradicate polio, fund clean water projects, and support international students studying right here at ECU through the Elizabeth Schmelling International Student Award.
Every Friday morning at 6:45 a.m., we gather at the Aldridge Ballroom to plan, organize, and push this work forward. Your donation helps us do more of it.
