On September 11, Ada Sunrise Rotary joined Ada Noon Rotary, the ECU Rotaract Club, and the Asian Students Association at The Lot for a fundraiser benefiting flood victims in Nepal, raising more than $2,000.
On the evening of September 11, Ada came together at The Lot to support flood victims in Nepal. The fundraiser was a joint effort between Ada Noon Rotary Club, Ada Sunrise Rotary, the ECU Rotaract Club, and the East Central University Asian Students Association, with The Lot at 720 East Main Street serving as host. Together, the event raised more than $2,000 for flood relief.
The centerpiece of the evening was momos, the traditional Nepali dumplings, prepared by a volunteer cooking team led by Usha Fountain. Guests enjoyed food and drinks in The Lot's outdoor space. The event reflects what Rotary does best: bringing people together across clubs, campus organizations, and local businesses to meet a real need. Ada Sunrise Rotary has supported projects in Nepal before, including clean water efforts, and this fundraiser continues that connection.
